This test exposes browser-reported angular orientation and rotational movement via DeviceOrientationEvent. Values reflect operating system calculations and do not verify physical MEMS gyroscope calibration or mechanical drift.

Rotate or tilt device to test roll, pitch, and yaw tracking
Angular Orientationdegrees (°)
Alpha (Yaw)—0° to 360°
Beta (Pitch)—-180° to 180°
Gamma (Roll)—-90° to 90°
Euler Rotation Axis Guide
Alpha (Z-axis): Rotation around the screen perpendicular axis (compass direction).
Beta (X-axis): Tilting forward and backward (screen pitch).
Gamma (Y-axis): Tilting left and right (screen roll).
Hardware Boundary Notice: Browser-reported orientation reflects angular coordinates calculated by your operating system and browser engine. It does not calibrate physical MEMS gyroscope sensor accuracy or measure physical drift rate.
How to test
ENABLE GYROSCOPE: Click 'Start Sensor' to begin listening to orientation events. Confirm any browser permission prompts on mobile devices.
ATTITUDE INDICATOR: Rotate and pitch your device. The artificial horizon gauge will reflect roll (gamma) and pitch (beta) relative to the horizon plane.
EULER ANGLES: Inspect Alpha (compass yaw 0°–360°), Beta (pitch -180°–180°), and Gamma (roll -90°–90°) to evaluate smooth angular tracking.
