Monitor Tester is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. All display diagnostic tests and calculations execute entirely inside your local browser.
When you visit Monitor Tester and run display tests, we do NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data, hardware serial numbers, diagnostic observations, or screen metrics on external servers. There are no backend tracking databases, user accounts, or login requirements.
To provide convenient features such as checklist tracking and defect marker coordinates, Monitor Tester utilizes your browser's private local storage APIs:
You can clear all stored data at any time by clicking 'Reset' in the test runner, clearing your browser's site data, or using your browser's private / incognito browsing mode.
Monitor Tester does not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral trackers, or marketing pixels. The site does not sell, rent, or monetize your browsing activity.
Monitor Tester requests only the standard Fullscreen API permission when you choose to enter full-screen testing mode. Fullscreen requires an explicit user gesture (such as clicking the Fullscreen button or pressing 'F') as enforced by your browser. We never request camera, microphone, notification, or geographic location permissions.
