Monitor Tester is an open web utility designed to assist users in visually evaluating display panels using browser-renderable test patterns, motion simulations, and client-side calculations. These tests are intended for visual screening and self-diagnosis.
Browser-based software cannot replace physical spectrophotometers, hardware colorimeters (such as Calibrite or Datacolor Spyder), or optical oscilloscopes. Monitor Tester does not generate ICC color profiles, read physical photometric nits, or certify absolute color accuracy (Delta-E).
Monitor Tester is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for precision, test results may vary based on operating system display scaling, GPU driver configurations, browser hardware acceleration, and ambient lighting conditions.
Display manufacturers enforce their own specific warranty terms regarding pixel defects (such as ISO 9241-307 Class 1 or Class 2 standards, which often define minimum thresholds of stuck or dead subpixels before an RMA is authorized). Identifying a defect on Monitor Tester does not automatically guarantee warranty replacement by your device manufacturer.
